How do I get started?

Create a free account at showcaller.online and start your first show right away. You can use a demo show to explore the features, or create your own rundown immediately and invite your team.

Is there a free trial?

Yes, ShowCaller offers a free plan that lets you get started immediately. Additionally, you can try the paid plans with a trial period so you can test all advanced features before committing.

What devices and browsers are supported?

ShowCaller works in all modern browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) on desktop, tablet, and mobile. There is also an installable Progressive Web App (PWA) available for a native app experience without an app store.

What is a rundown?

A rundown is the detailed timeline of your event. It contains all cues, segments, timings, and technical instructions your team needs to keep the show running smoothly.

Can I import from Excel?

Yes, ShowCaller supports importing Excel files. Upload your existing spreadsheet and the data is automatically converted into a real-time rundown with all columns and rows intact.

How does real-time synchronization work?

As soon as a change is made — whether it's a cue update, timing adjustment, or script change — it is instantly synchronized to all connected devices. Everyone on your team always sees the most up-to-date version.

What is the Bitfocus Companion integration?

Through the Bitfocus Companion integration, you can connect ShowCaller to hardware controllers and automation systems. This makes it possible to send cue signals to video mixers, lighting desks, and other equipment from your rundown.

Does ShowCaller have a prompter/autocue?

Yes, ShowCaller includes a built-in prompter (autocue) that can be displayed on a separate screen. The speed is adjustable and the text scrolls in sync across all connected screens.

Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time. There are no long-term contracts or hidden fees. After cancellation, you retain access until the end of your current billing period.

How does billing work?

You are billed monthly or annually, depending on your preference. Annual billing offers a significant discount. You can pay with credit card or other common payment methods.

How many team members can I add?

How do crew members access the show?

Crew members receive an invitation via email or a magic link that gives them instant access to the show. They don't need to create an account — clicking the link is enough to view or collaborate.

What roles are available?

ShowCaller supports multiple roles such as ShowCaller, Admin, Crew, and Viewer. Each role has specific permissions, from full editing access to read-only. This lets you control exactly who can do what.

Can freelancers use ShowCaller?

Absolutely. Freelancers can be invited to specific shows without needing their own subscription. They get access via a magic link and can immediately view and collaborate.

Technical

Is my data secure?

Yes, ShowCaller runs on Google Cloud (Firebase) with end-to-end encryption for data transport. Your data is stored in secure European data centers and is protected with strict organization-level access rules.

Does it work offline?

ShowCaller is primarily an online platform for real-time collaboration. Limited offline functionality is available for viewing previously loaded shows, but an internet connection is recommended for the best experience.

What languages are supported?

The ShowCaller interface is available in 12 languages: Dutch, English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish, and Polish. You can switch languages at any time.

Can I export my rundown?

Yes, you can export your rundown as a PDF for printing or sharing with people who don't have digital access. The export includes all cues, timings, and notes in a clean, professional layout.
