⚠️ Conflicts and Warnings
ShowCaller automatically detects issues with your audio planning and warns you before they cause problems.
What is a conflict?
A conflict arises when:
- A device is assigned to person A
- Person A does not return the device
- The same device is assigned to person B in a later cue
How do you recognize a conflict?
- Red row - The cue row is highlighted in red
- "Conflict" badge - A red badge appears next to the cue title
- "still with someone" - Instead of "retrieve," you see this warning
- Red indicator - The left column turns dark red
Resolving a conflict
Option 1: Return the device earlier
- Go to the cue where the device should be returned
- Make sure the "AFTER CUE" section contains the device
- Or adjust the schedule so that person A returns the device earlier
Option 2: Assign a different device
- Open the cue configuration for person B
- Choose another available device
- The conflict disappears automatically
Option 3: Replace device
If a device breaks down:- Go to the Audio Inventory Manager
- Click delete on the broken device
- You get the option to replace it with another device
- All assignments are automatically updated
Prevention tips
- Schedule "return" moments well before the next person needs the device
- Use the Microphone Status to check availability
- Discuss the schedule with your team in advance
