With Magic Links you give cast members direct access to their personal Cast Portal. No account, no password - just one link and they're in.

What is a Magic Link?

A Magic Link is a unique URL that:

    2. 🎯 Only gives access to their own show information
    3. ⚡ Works instantly without logging in
    4. 📱 Is optimized for mobile devices

Magic Link Generation

Via Cast Management

  1. Go to show settings (⚙️) → Cast
  2. Find the cast member in the list
  3. Click on the link icon (🔗)
  4. The link is automatically copied to your clipboard

Via the Action Menu

  1. Click on the three dots (⋮) next to a cast member
  2. Select "Generate Cast Link" or "Copy Cast Link"
  3. The link is now on your clipboard
Tip: If a link already exists, you will see "Copy Cast Link". New links are only generated if one does not already exist.

Security

How secure are Magic Links?

    1. ✅ Each link contains a 21-character security code (nanoid)
    2. ✅ The code is practically impossible to guess
    3. ✅ Cast members only see their own information
    4. ✅ No access to crew functions or show settings

What can cast NOT do?

    1. ❌ Change show settings
    2. ❌ See other cast members
    3. ❌ Adjust cues
    4. ❌ Edit Rundown

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I invalidate a link? Not directly at the moment. However, you can delete the cast member and recreate them with a new link.

Does the link work on all devices? Yes, the link works on phones, tablets and computers. The Cast Portal is responsive and adapts.

What if someone shares the link? Anyone with the link has access to that specific Cast Portal. Only share links with the cast member in question.

Does the link continue to work after the show? Yes, as long as the show exists and the cast member has not been deleted.

Online Status

When a cast member opens their portal, you will see this:

    1. 🟢 Green dot = Online (active in the last 5 minutes)
    2. ⚪ No dot = Has not been online recently
This helps you see who has already viewed the information before the show.
