Print & Export: Rundown as PDF

The Print & Export function allows you to export your entire rundown to a professionally formatted PDF. This is ideal as a backup in case the system fails or when you need a paper version.

How does it work?

1. Open the Export Page

    1. Go to your show
    2. Click on the menu icon (top right in the header)
    3. Select "Print & Export" in the dropdown menu

2. Configure your Export

The export page first shows a settings panel where you can choose:

Column Selection:

    1. Check which columns you want to see (e.g. Audio, Video, Light, Camera)
    2. By default, all columns are selected
    3. You can also toggle the Script column on/off
Display Settings:
    1. Font Size: Choose between Compact, Normal, or Large
    2. Orientation: The export is optimized for Landscape format

3. Print / Save as PDF

Click the "🖨️ Print / Save as PDF" button. This opens the standard browser print dialog where you can:
    1. Print directly to a printer
    2. Save as PDF (e.g. "Save as PDF" in Chrome or "Print to PDF" in other browsers)

What is exported?

The export contains:

    1. Show Title: Large and clear at the top
    2. Print Date & Time: When the export was created (important for version control)
    3. Page Numbers: On each page
    4. Full Rundown Table:
- Cue number (#) - Time (automatically calculated based on start time and duration) - Duration (normalized to HH:MM:SS format) - Title - Script (optional) - All selected columns with their instructions

Automatic Time Calculation

If you have set a start time for your show, the times are calculated automatically:

    1. The first cue starts at the set start time
    2. Each subsequent cue starts based on the cumulative duration of all previous items
    3. If an item already has a manual time, it is used instead of the calculated time

Tips for the Best Export

  1. Landscape Orientation: Set your printer to Landscape for the best display
  2. Column Selection: Deselect columns you don't need for a more compact overview
  3. Font Size: Use "Compact" if you have many items, "Large" for readability
  4. Backup: Regularly export a PDF as a backup, especially just before an important show

Print Styling

The export is optimized for print:

    1. High contrast (black text on white paper)
    2. Zebra-striping for readability
    3. Cues are never broken in half by a page break
    4. Professional header with logo and show information
